How much does a half hog cost?
A half hog is $500. Every share is a flat price: Eighth Beef $500, Quarter Beef $1,000, Half Beef $1,500, Whole Beef $2,800, Half Hog $500, Whole Hog $900.
Do you ship to my state?
Yes. We ship frozen from our Nebraska farm anywhere in the United States. We confirm your delivery timing when we confirm your order.
Can I order beef and pork together?
Yes. Pick a beef share and a pork share on the same order form.
How much freezer space do I need?
Roughly 2 cu ft for an eighth, 4–5 cu ft for a quarter, 8–9 cu ft for a half, 16–18 cu ft for a whole, 1–2 cu ft for a half hog, 3–4 cu ft for a whole hog. A standard chest freezer holds a half beef; a whole beef needs a large one or two smaller ones.
What's hanging weight vs. take-home weight?
Hanging weight is the carcass weight before it's cut and trimmed. What you take home is the packaged meat: an eighth hangs at 115–135 lbs and comes home as 75–85 lbs; a quarter hangs at 225–275 lbs and comes home as 150–175 lbs; a half hangs at 450–550 lbs and comes home as 300–350 lbs; a whole hangs at 900–1,100 lbs and comes home as 600–700 lbs; a half hog hangs at 90–110 lbs and comes home as 60–80 lbs; a whole hog hangs at 180–220 lbs and comes home as 120–160 lbs.
Can I choose how it's cut?
Yes. Tell us how thick you like your steaks and chops and what size packs you want, in the notes box or when we confirm your order.
How do I pay?
No payment is taken on this website. Payment instructions are sent after your booking is confirmed. We take Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay, Cash or Other.
